Introduction to American Folk Dance - Little Elm

In these 6-week classes, students will learn the history of folk dance in America, basic dance steps and calls, dance etiquette, set dances, and dancing drills to help students master the art of dancing well. Ms. Quattrini's motto is "Elegance, Not Elephants!" Students will dance full dances in class, including the Virginia Reel, a Snowba

In these 6-week classes, students will learn the history of folk dance in America, basic dance steps and calls, dance etiquette, set dances, and dancing drills to help students master the art of dancing well. Ms. Quattrini's motto is "Elegance, Not Elephants!" Students will dance full dances in class, including the Virginia Reel, a Snowball Reel, Hunting the Fox, and basic waltz. 


Classes meet weekly on Monday for six sessions.

Tuition: $65, $10 sibling discount after the first student


Each class will need a 10 student minimum to make. Class maximum size is 24.

This 4-week practicum will allow students to hone the skills they learned in the introduction class through practice. Join us for these 6-week classes as we explore the world of Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved Little House books through hands-on activities and handicrafts in this collaboration with Ancora Academy in McKinney. Students will participate in a number of handicrafts like candle making, hand sewing, and paper arts, as well as participating in skills like game play, writing with quill and ink, and songs. Reading the selected books is encouraged, but not required. These classes will be popular, so don't wait to register! 


Classes meet weekly on Wednesday for six sessions.
